NCC Warmachine/Hordes Achievement League Season 1

Thanks to my Friend Ash and the kindness of Joel at Mini War Gaming (MWG) for providing me with their highly successful achievement league format and for the allowance to tinker with it to reforge it for the use of the club here at NCC!

Rules

Achievements: -This is all about achievements and there are more than 100 different ones for players to strive to complete. These achievements can be earned both in and out of game.

Completing achievements is not a requirement for playing in the league but I hope it gives this league an enjoyable twist to our normal play style. You may lose all your games this league and still take home prize if you can complete enough achievements.

Since there are so many achievements, it is important to take a good look through them and think about how you can accomplish multiple ones per game. Double dipping is possible and encouraged so strategize away. BE AWARE - some of these are very easy and some are incredibly difficult. Many require specific planning and choices to be made and wont just happen by chance. Some require you to submit written information. All info must be typed and in digital format - either submitted by bringing the file on a device/drive or by emailing to nccart@gmail.com

Players will earn 20 points for a control point win, 10 for an assassination win, 5 for a draw and 0 for a loss.
Players may only count battle points for their first 2 games in a month - though they may continue to unlock achievements after that point and their opponents may stills core battle points.

All standard achievements are worth 10 League Points each.
As custom achievements are added there is a possibility of them having alternate point values. Any such aberrations will be noted in the achievement description
If you have any questions about the wording of an achievement or if accomplishing it in a certain way is acceptable then feel free to email me or ask me during game day.

SR2014 Rules - The league will use the most current steamroller rules and scenarios but with a few amendments (for example, we won’t be using any kind of timer and we will probably use more terrain than normal). Rules can be found here - http://files.privateerpress.com/op/sr2014/Steamroller2014.pdf
Be aware that this will change very soon as the 2015 rules are in beta.

25+ Points - Lists will be played at the 25 point level unless arranged in advance and players must agree upon game size ahead of time to allow for appropriate planning due to achievements. Lists  Players may use the same list for the entire league but that is silly as variety is encouraged and necessary in order to accomplish achievements. Players may and are encouraged to play multiple factions for the league (there is an achievement for it!).

Players must play a minimum of 6 games to be eligible for rewards.

Players will be assigned their opponents by Mr. Craig each week without knowing in advance who/what they will be facing UNLESS ARRANGED IN ADVANCE BY MEANS OF A CHALLENGE.  IN THIS CASE BOTH PLAYERS MUST DECLARE THEIR FACTION (though not any details about their army or caster) UPON ACCEPTANCE OF THE CHALLENGE AND MR. CRAIG MUST BE NOTIFIED.

Rewards

Prizes will be chosen by Mr. Craig based on participation and funds available. More info to come.
